This is a half day workshop which will equip professionals to support vulnerable people to sustain tenancies – whether they are supporting people who are preparing for a tenancy, are new to a tenancy or are struggling to manage it.
The course content covers:
- How to promote problem solving skills, independent living skills, protective factors and resilience through the support provided
- Examples of good practice around supporting people to live independently including managing the move-on period and giving people tools to use in the event of crises.
- How to best support people with multiple needs
This workshop is highly interactive with plenty of discussion where professionals can share their learning and discuss the individual contexts they work in. It combines well with ‘How to Use Resettlement Passport’ into a full day course.
“I enjoyed how interactive the course was and the opportunity to discuss how to empower people to ‘move on’. There were exercises and examples I can use in my practice”
